Here is a selection of just some of the gifted artists working with Smart Art. They're a great bunch and we feel privileged to be working with them.
Jenny O’Brien trained in Fine Art, Paint and Print at the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology where she graduated in 1998, specialising in portraiture.
With almost two decades of experience as a professional artist, her work ranges between commercial and private portrait commissions, murals, web and graphic design, caricatures, cartoons and other published work - twelve of her oil-painted portraits were specially commissioned for the GRCC “Inspirational Women of Galway” project.
O'Brien now works from her home studio in the West of Ireland.
Meadhbh Ní Eidhin is an artist and musician from Spiddal, Co Galway. Her paintings are renowned for their dynamic explorations of colour and texture. Born into a very musical family Meadhbh’s paintings created with acrylic and oil on canvas, vividly and daringly illustrate her passion for music and indeed other types of subject matter.
"I attempt to imagine or define this conflicting coalescing world to express a modern sensibility, analysing the ephemerality of humanity's creations in the face of nature and time."
Marie lives in the quaint village of Cratloe, Co Clare, just a few miles from the iconic Bunratty. Putting brush to canvass all of her life, her subjects are diverse and capture various moods.
However it is her love for the County Clare coastline in all its raw forms that is is passionately prevalent in many of her works. Jacques has taught numerous art workshops over many years in Limerick and the West of Ireland.
